Basic photo edit for exposure, highlights, shadows, black, texture, dehaze and unsightly power line removed.
This photograph, taken in January 2021, is essentially sky and water in its main content. The light was pretty good for a winter’s afternoon and that made for a lot of light bouncing around the shot off a white sky and a flooded landscape. So, I ended up with an over-exposed image pre-edit.
The first thing to correct was the exposure and this was dropped by over a stop. Highlights were dropped by nearly 100%, some clarity and dehazing were added, to recover some colour and detail out of the sky.
The unsightly power cable going right across the shot was removed in Photoshop.
